I haven't flown my bird yet do I need to perforn an IMU calibration and does it have to be performed outside or can I do it indoors on my coffee table since its about 10 degrees outside?

No you don't need to do any calibration except the compass one. And that one only whenever you go to a new flying site. Don't do the others unless you get an error and it tells you to.

I watch a video of someone doing the calibration inside.. guess it is ok.. as long as its a level surface .. did mine inside, so far so good..

And don't do the compass one inside or near any metal or electronical interference.
