Has anyone travelled with their Drone as Checked in baggage on an Emirates flight from UK to Australia.
I am getting redicluous additional baggage costs of about £954 to take my drone in its Peli case. I could take the Mrs. for less than that.
I was even thinking of leaving the batteries to remove the hasle and extra weight of flying with batteries through airports customs checks as hand baggage. With batteries removed and only essential items, the Peli and Inspire is weighing about 15.6kg, which puts it into the 20kg category for additional baggage allowance.
Going to look at courier prices as an option, but would welcome any cheaper alternatives or other ideas.
