I originally ordered from a 3rd party October 24th. Waited... Waited... Waited... Was hoping for delivery by Halloween, nope. Thanksgiving, nope. Christmas, nope. New Years, nope. Friday the 13th of January, nope.
Saw the news that ordering direct from DJI could result in delivery in 5-7 days so pulled the trigger Monday January 16th. Ordered the Fly More Combo, DJI Care, and more props. Been at the third-blue-dot, Payment Success, all week. No new status, no email confirmation. Weird, you'd think a company this big would have a fulfillment process with communication and technology...
Well it looks like they fulfilled their promise of 'order on the 5th and get it shipped by the 18th' as several guys posted on the main shipping thread that they got notification of delivery Monday.
Including me!
Our birds are already in the UK, so they obviously shipped the units in bulk to the UK days ago. And as of today, Saturday, a day after I got my shipping email from the courier company, the 'track my orders' DJI page still shows 'pending' with no shipping notification....
So it looks to me like they're catching up for direct orders. I saw on another thread that they had been quite open in their communication with third party sellers that they were going to concentrate on fulfilling direct DJI orders before trying to fulfill third party bulk shipments.... So ordering direct seems the only way to get one within a week or two now for most people.
To update my post:
Ordered Combo on 5th Jan
Order page changed to 4th dot 9th Jan (when card got charged as well)
Email from courier 20 Jan stating Mavic already in UK in Reading
Delivery expected before 12 midday 23 Jan.
