New to Phantom Drones...well really, new to "hobbyist grade drones", been flying the toys around the house for a while

I have seen threads and videos of the Magic Power mod, but nothing really explains exactly what it does.  From what I gather it looks like it extends the range that you can fly, while improving the camera feed to your phone/tablet?  Is that correct?  Does it really work?

The magic power mod makes your video feed smoother and better the further out you go, it dosent increase your rc's range

it's a very useful mod for eu users, here laws are restrective on wifi but 5.8 ghz too.
for usa users it offer only a little smooth (very little) wifi streaming
