Yep, I'm using this device and have no issues what so ever.  I purchased the hood they have in the DJI store for $!2

Normally I use a iPad 9.7 pro dedicated for flying, but I have tested my "old" Samsung S6 Edge Plus also.

Absolute no problems.

You should get a sunshade for it.
