Irvine here, now if it would stop raining we could fly more. Maybe Saturday, they're saying a break in the rain

It looks like a few days of some major rain I'm hoping Saturday is dry as well

Did a "downgrade firmware" and the battery passes. Flew with it yesterday with no issues.
DJI did say that this is a known issue and is working on a fix.

That's good news, I have seen a few posts on that resolving the issue.

Southern California here! Just got a whole bunch more stuff for my Inspire 2 from Advexure in LA but looks like I'll be grounded for the next 24-48 hours. This rain is insane.

Nice! Yep we have some ugly weather here for a few days. I was able to get down to the beach on Saturday and fly a few batteries but it was really windy. I was surprised how well it flew in the wind!

I deliver concrete and haven't worked since last Wednesday. Going stir crazy. I also got a mavmount so I can use my nvidia shield. I like having the tablet centered over the controller, has a nice balance to it. The mount grips the tablet real well. I just wish the nvidia had a brighter screen. My lg v20 phone has a nice bright screen for flying. I couldn't believe the amount of hail we got this morning, it's been many years since I've seen it that intense. Hopefully we'll get a break from the rain for awhile.

I was struggling with the brightness on my screen as well,  made a cardboard sunshade and it made a big difference. Looks like the rain is gone for now!

Just flew with my nvidia shield and it works great with the mavic, no issues with the go 4 app so far. Had issues with go 4 app crashing on my lg v20 but turning on airplane mode resolved it. It was nice to take it out today.

Good to hear someone got out today! I haven't tried Go 4 yet but I think I'm going to give it a go this weekend

beautiful so cal day for flying, now just what to fly around?

We had some pretty strong Santa Ana winds today, I'm off tomorrow so trying to fit some time in. I've been neglecting my p3p since I got the Mavic, been wanting to take it out. Hopefully no winds tomorrow, happy flying and weekend everyone.

The Santana winds where blowing pretty strong down here today, hoping for a nice clear day tomorrow.

Finally!  A nice, warm mostly wind free day!  I have not been able to fly for almost a month.  Hope I still remember what all the buttons and stuff do.

I need to find out how to fix my location listed for the forums, I don't know how it ended up being Canada.

You aren't the only one who DJI thinks is Canadian.  I live in the Palm Springs area.  At least a thousand miles from Canada.  I have complained about it a lot, but to no avail.  It might be handy if Canada felt the same way as Dji.  Then we could have dual citizenship.

Hey everyone, good to see more Orange County flyers. Took my Mavic to a remote corner of the great park in Irvine, no one anywhere nearby except for the police patrol who stopped by to tell me no flying in any park in Irvine. No ticket given. I picked up the DJI Nd filter 3 pack but once again it was too windy to check them out. I was hoping for this weekend but more rain forecast.

We have had some  windy conditions down south lately too and of course yesterday was awesome but work got in the way of play.  I need to get a flight or two in before the rain comes back!

Ok, feeling good that I was able to run through a couple of batteries  this afternoon!

I just replaced my iPad mini 2 with a new IPad Pro with GPS.  Looking forward to doing some flying but lot's of rain in the forecast.

Newbie check in from Santa Barbara.  New to RC, new to UAV.  P4P+ arriving in 2 days.  I've done about as much reading as I can handle and am ready to start the slow learning process.
