Hi all,

Sharing  kitesurfing video shooting with my Mavic, not so easy when alone in the spot
Wind : from 20 to 25 knots
Lost tracking when turning so going back in panic mode to the car and start the RTH from the RC
No more shooting after landing the drone as the wind started to go up
Need to improve !

As you can see at 3:32 the Mavic touched the lines

Since I don't really speak French, It took me a couple of tries to realize that I need to click an extra button to download the file. I think most users would prefer to be able to stream it from something like YouTube or Vimeo or even SkyPixel, rather than download the whole file.

Aside from that, it's a pretty cool video. Pretty good for a solo job with just Active Track shooting :-) But as you discovered, the aircraft's flight can be a little unpredictable when you change directions, etc. You were pretty brave filming it that way :-) I would have probably tried setting it upwind, and much further away to minimize the risk of collision and tangles.

I know it was too close, the Mavic lost twice the tracking and lucky me it didn't crash when touching the lines
Lessons learnt !

Comment tas fait pour filmer tout seul activetrack ou follow et la telecommande/portable tu las mise ou ?

Active Track, Trace mode pour les plans avec la voiture et la préparation du matos puis Profile mode quand je ferme la voiture et pars tirer des bords.
La RC + smartphone restés dans la voiture.

Je n'avais pas bien réfléchi sur le mode Profile car je remontais au vent, donc je me rapprochais du drone...je m'en suis aperçu à la transition mais trop tard
il faut filmer pas trop près sinon le suivi se perd quand le sujet change de direction...
J'ai un peu joué avec le feu avec ce vent qui montait....un peu kamikaze sur ce coup
les plans où le drone se rapproche ou s'éloigne ne sont pas voulus, le vent y joue un peu je crois. Cela ne se voit pas mais le drone était bien penché pour compenser le vent.

Do a Google search for "royalty free music" and you'll find many places that you can download music from and then use in your videos without having YouTube kill it.  That's what most of us do so that we don't have to continue to use the cheesy music that comes with most editors.
I agree, get a YouTube account going and post more videos!
