Took out my new P4P today and was very impressed with the handling.  It felt much more stable than my P3P.  However, once I loaded the footage from the day onto the computer all the videos showed a "Capture Date" of 1951 instead of 2017.  The date on the iPad I use for controlling is correct.  The Capture Time for the still photos I took are correct, however, any video files are showing the incorrect date.  It appears to be a bug in the DJI Go 4 App.  Anyone else experienced this here (there's quite a few that have when I Google.)?

May I know what SD card you are using? If you use the original SD card coming together with aircraft, the capture date should be correct.
If you use other SD cards, please make sure firmware for AC and RC is up to date, then check again.

Before I flew it for the first time I updated to the very latest firmware using the DJI Assistant software on my Mac.  I also upgraded the controller firmware via the DJI Go 4 App.  The SD card I used was the one that came with the P4P.  I did NOT format the card before I flew.

Natalia,

Many people on this forum have mentioned the problem with the YEAR being incorrect for a video file. In 2016 the P4P video files were time stamped with 1950, now in the new year 2017, the video files are time stamped with 1951.

You MUST load the file into a professional video editing program that shows the full Meta Data. I have attached an example of a video I shot yesterday. The meta data is incorrect for the YEAR. The month, day, and time are correct. The YEAR is wrong.

This has nothing to do with SD cards. I'm using a P4P+ that is completely up to date, you have told me yourself in a separate message to me on another thread.

Yes I did Firmware upgrade several days ago on Aircraft. SD I am using is one Panasonic that comes with drone and another is Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB.

As I said for Photos it seems correct but videos in 2016 it was reading as from 1950 and now it imports as 1951.

I haven't had this issue with any of my Phantoms, but with OSMO. But for me, the wrong date is usually 2013.

Firmware is currently at V01.02.0304.

I do want to point out another error.  If you look at my image of firmware, it shows current version at V01.02.0304-  <-- Note the negative sign!  Using the DJI Assistant software I "upgraded" for a second time and now the firmware version shows V01.02.03.04 with NO negative sign.  So in addition to naming the firmware versions with numbers apparently there is a difference between V01.02.0304- and V01.02.03.04

This should be documented somewhere and well just shouldn't happen -- use version numbers to differentiate different versions of software and not a negative sign.

I will now test a video and test it's capture date.

It's still a problem and has not been fixed in V01.02.0304 of the firmware.

HI fans1ee34a72,

Whether every video and photo date is invalid(1951.XX.XX) or not?
Could you do a capture and then do another capture after 20 seconds. At the same time, please help us to check the create time of these two pictures and verify whether the interval  is correct ?
Thanks a lot.

HI fans1ee34a72,

Whether every video and photo date is invalid(1951.XX.XX) or not?

This problem does NOT affect photos.  Photos are fine.  The problem only affects Video files.  I'm using 4k video in the highest resolution 4096 saving as .mov with mp4 encoding and dLog color correction.  Those files when loaded into Adobe Lightroom have a capture date of year 1951.  It affects all video files including those 20 seconds apart.  I took 8 videos on my first flight and each had a capture date of 1951.

Could it be something that lightroom is doing to the file on import? I just checked the dates on my videos and photos and all are correct and I have the P4P+ as well. Does it show 1950 for the year if you look at the file on the SD card?

Fans ...

What tool did you use to capture the 1951 metadata. I used Adobe Bridge. We both agree there is a problem, I'm just curious what tool you used.

I'm having the same issues with the video files only, showing 1951 as date created.  I'm using DJI Go 4, on an ipad mini 2, and I use Adobe Bridge CS6 on my mac, running Sierra to view the metadata.  The AC FW is 01.02.0304.  I have tried the original SD card, as well as some Lexar 32GB cards.  If I view the date created in finder, it's correct.  Might be a bug in Adobe?
