I want to make a timelapse  with the mavic is there a set icon or do i do it from the computer ?

In the camera settings you can change 'photo' to 'timed shot' which takes a photo every 2 to 60 seconds.

thank you  been looking on u tube but found nothing on the matter

So these are photos every 2 to 60 seconds or movie frames? If they are photos how would you make a time laps video?
