There are many products on the web to adapt
I cannot find a full solution with a software integration.
The purpose is to release object by pressing C1 or C2
Any advice/experience feedback is welcome

This might not be the answer that you're looking for, but the simplest way is to install a seperate voltage step, RC receiver and servo (actuator). That way you will have a number of channels to control your gadgets with. If you specifically want to use C1 and C2 then I suggest you ask this question in SDK forums

I have no idea at the moment. Just saw it. Think you will probably have to add the RC extension or something. Will investigate when we get closer to purchasing. Maybe you can drop them a mail to enquire.

The new rc extension for the m600 opens 8 channels configurable by the assistant 2 software with switches and variable potentiometers and shutter option. this should make releasing the hook easy or buy a servo switch that allows low level optical switching (0-5v) to switch up to 2amps and higher voltages. about €5 from hobbyking. I have one to remote switch a second camera on and off.
