I pretty much have to pair the controller to the mavic each time I turn it on now.  WHY?

What phone, what FW, what OS, what problems and what do you expect DJI to do with such basic input with bold demands?

For some reason i never take posts from users named "somerandomstuff(insirt row of numbers here)" seriusly.
Sorry to the legit users with wierd names, but experience tells me most of these are bogus.

Never mind, found a solution:  Power the remote controller on TWICE until it says "connecting" in order to "connect" the controller to the Mavic.

Probobly not.
Just observation.Try harder next time.

Back on topic, glad op found a solution, allthough it doesnt sound like its supposed to do that.

Do you mean you need to turn on the remote controller for twice then it will be able to connect with the aircraft?
Could you please clarify your current firmware version?
