I just got my dji phantom 3 standard replacement from the last past days, my dji phantom 3 before failed the update while im updating it through the dji go app (40%-78%) as far as i can remember it was the last christmas that it got broken. Now the replacement has arrived it's telling me to upgrade firmware to (1.8.10) my current version firmware is (1.2.40+). Can you guys please help me to sort it out? I already did took a flight of the replacement and i haven't really encountered any issues so far.

Upgrading firmware is always completely your choice.

But if you have any accidents, and it hasn't been updated to the most recent version, it could be a negative with DJI repair.
I'd like to believe the newest will always be the greatest. Obviously for some drone pilots that's not always the expected experience.
