DJI GO or DJI GO 4?

I am a new pilot and Mavic owner.  I just downloaded DJi go 4 and have flown with that several time.   Very good from a beginner.

My understanding is that DJI GO is for the older Drones such as the Phantom 3 and before, and does not support the Mavic.  DJI GO 4 is the newest version that supports the Phantom 4 and the Mavic, and whatever comes out next.

Go 4 has worked great for me.

Go 4 with Mavic

DJI Go 4 is what you are supposed to use with Mavics, and is the only version of the app that will see continued development.

As others have posted, the newer aircraft including the Mavic should be using the GO4 app.

Can they add back the color options in GO4 for the Mavic like we had previously such as Vivid in DJIGO with my P3P?

From the GO app, there is a feedback section that you can forward your requests.
From the home page, choose Me, the More, then Feedback.

Ken I was told it's OK to use DJI Go with the mavic.  I use djigo3.0.1 because it still has Google.maps and the aircraft clueless great.  Is this OK?  I was told by other moderators it's OK to use.

the latest GJI GO 4  is for the  is for the later models,  with  the  new electronics  and features,   no need to update a app,  that dose not apply to the units,,,   like  p3  or earlier

Any recommendations for the cheapest best screen to use on Go4 app and Mavic

Got my Mavic 3 days ago, used the DJI Go app and also put on the DJI go 4 app, the 4 app is constantly clashing on my phone (Oneplus 3 / Android 7) mid flight leaving me blind, hence I've had to uninstall it and go back to the older one.

Apart from Litchi app is there any others anyone has tried?

Hey, my issue with Litchi Vue is that if anything happens to your drone when using the software, DJI Factory warranty and even the DJI Care Refresh is void. So in other words, if the software konks out and your bird drops like a brick, DJI shrugs their shoulders. How I know this?? YouTube DJI Care Refresh and you will find a pilot who crashed his drone and DJI not covering for the damage even thou he had DJI care refresh. So all third party apps are risky, remember that the Mavic is in its early stages of development and is a little glitchy, a lot of people don't read the Terms and conditions, fly safe

Just received the Mavic and I also use the Osmo also and now I cannot use it as both apps are on the same phone. (s6 edge) Now when i delete dji go 4 from the phone i still cannot connect to the Osmo.
anyone else find this??

I was using Go4 with an android phone, I was having constant problems/ crashing.

Now upgraded to an IPad Mini2, fantastic, runs like a dream, highly recommend that combination.

so does anyone use the dji program that costs $26.00 or around there and if so does it work good and does that void the warenty

I find that on my Samsung phone which I use for drone when I have forgotten ipad the app opens up to Mavic 2 Pro and more often than not Icannot connect to Mavic Pro,  This is part of my imcome and sometimes I am asked to do drone work as an addition. But if I havent put the Ipad in car am very often unable to fulfill clients wish.  Its all very well to say always carry I pad but if you go on job that does not call for drone  and believe that phone can do job  

I have mavic mini, and Go4  doesnt seem ti wirk with it.

What other app can i use?
Im looking for a maping app, for agricultural use
