Is there any way to lock in a forward speed of the drone during a flight so that I can just focus on direction and orientation?

Unfortunately, there is not, at this time, a way to have the drone constantly moving forward, but that does sound like a very useful feature.

you can set two way points and then set a low speed, and pov to 'opperator' send the quad off and film away..cheers Darrin

Yes, there is.

By using an elastic band, you can put it in overdrive... Haha
Not sure why you want to give up control though.

Follow Me mode will work too. ;-)
