Hi,

I recently received my SSD's from DJI but am having trouble removing the false SSD that is inserted in the back of the drone. Is there a release button that I need to press? I'd rather not brute force it but it will absolutely not budge when I pull on it.

Success! I had to use a pair of clamps to get it out. It would be impossible to grab out with your fingers. Thanks CptLuke!

And you're not having any issue inserting and removing the new SSD card afterwards, is that correct?

Nope no issue with getting the drives in or out but everytime I reinsert the blank piece it is really hard to pull out. I carry a pair of grips in my case now so that I can remove it when I'm out flying.
