Just a quick heads up, i have been trying to find a good, fast 128GB card.  I got stumped with the Lexar, could not get it to work, sent it back.  Ordered the Samsung card pictured and it loaded immediately, formatted perfectly.

If you are not sure which card to get, i can recommend this one.  $79 on ebay

Cheers

HI Jamie, yes i found that out, originally i had purchased Lexar micro SDXC UHS-II, U-3, Class 10, 128GB.  and i could not get it to work despite many attempts and reformats.  The Samsung Pro Select 128 GB seems to work well thus far.

I do apologize for the misinformation on my end. The newest renditions of the Phantom 4 (Pro/+)_and the Inspire 2 are the only ones thus far that can support 128 GB.

Jamie, any idea why this card doesnt work:

Lexar micro SDXC UHS-II, U-3, Class 10, 128GB.

From what I can tell, the Lexar is half the write speed of the Samsung. It's most likely too low to propely work.

From the Lexar web site.

128GB—up to 150MB/s read, 45MB/s write

    High-speed performance—leverages UHS-II technology (U3) for a read transfer speed up to 150MB/s (1000x)*
Includes microSD UHS-II reader for high-speed file transfer from card to computer, dramatically accelerating workflow**
Premium memory solution for sports camcorders, tablets, and smartphones
Designed for high-speed capture of high-quality images and extended lengths of 1080p full-HD, 3D, and 4K video
Backwards compatible with UHS-I devices, performing up to the maximum thresholds of UHS-I speed capabilities (SDR104)

From Samsung:

Samsung’s ultra-fast PRO Select microSD Card sets the standard for  extreme sports & action photography. This UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3)  and Class 10 compatibility card is perfect for 4K UHD video recording  & playback. And with blazing-fast read & write speeds of up to  95MB/s & 90MB/s respectively, apps and videos load quicker and files  transfer faster.

You are quite correct, after all the researching i did, i cant beleive i overlooked the write speed like that.  That would completely explain why it didnt work.  I cant beleive that for the cost and the hype, they produce such a slow write speed.

I reached out to DJI numerous times with a reply and ended up buying the Lexar card only to have to return it later.  I thank you for your response Jamie.

You're welcome, at least you were able to find a card that's been working wonders thus far. From what it seems, the Lexar is mostly geared for being a better transfer/storage card than actually using it to generate footage. The Samsung, though is great for both tasks.

Hey Aussie4220,

Might be a dead thread now but I've just spent the last couple of hours shopping round for a decent card myself for my Galaxy S8+, ended up going with the 128Gb Evo Select same as you. Couldnt find them here in Aus so I had to go Amazon Global. I run a Samsung Pro+ 64Gb in my Mavic and it works flawlessly.

I believe the issue you had with the Lexar card is that it was a class 'II' card not class I. I was attracted to the speeds as well, but after doing a bit of research, I read that the Class II cards arent inter-compatible with class I cards. Apparently the host devices need to be class II compliant and able run those cards. I assume our drones can only take up to a U3 class I card.

I stand corrected though.

Cheers, Kev.
