Put together my first little planet today. 48 pictures, each one of them shot manually with P4. Autopano did the stitching process and the rest of the post-processing was done in Photoshop.
Absolutely not. The hardest part is shooting the 360 panorama, but there are many apps that do it for you automatically. Took a bit over five minutes to do manually for me. For stitching, you can use Photoshop's Photomerge tool, but I find Autopano more versatile.
Hi, great creation.
You say its made of 48 shots. So how do you do this then? is it hover & take a few vertical downward shots at different rotational positions, then pan out to the edge of the shot & several shots at rotational positions again & so on until you have the lot. Then stitch. Is that how its done?
I do a full 360 with the camera facing forward first, then point the camera a bit lower and do another 360 and so on. There are many softwares that do the stiching process for you, and with around 30% overlap you get the best results.
