Ordered from Apple UK on 23rd Jan and have just received a dispatch email.

Will be arriving on 30th!!! Quicker than DJI and £100 cheaper... £200 if you're a student!

haha....maybe Apple UK roll like DJI. I ordered before you, with the discount and mine isn't despatched. Then again....................

That's not good! Surely should dispatched by order date.

Perhaps it date order, but based on location.  e.g. they got stock to their depot in the south of England somewhere and that depot covers a particular radius only or something along those lines.

Still very tempted to pre-order one from Apple EPP, but £900 is still £900 (ordinarily I'd probably have ordered it by now, but there's a wedding/honeymoon to afford this year!!!).

there's a student discount applied to the mavic through apple? another thing that I am going to rage about for weeks to come. hoping the mavic is better than i expect and i forget about their horrible service and increased price/delivery timeframes

Yep when you go through unidays.

10% discount so mine came to just under £900

Raging. Read their website which said they wouldn't be applying it to drones until months after release....guess it has been months!!

I'm not going to wait another 2 weeks. I am leaving in 4 and want to be flying it. I'm already paying £100 more because DJI put the price up and I will have to cancel my preorder at the original price so what's another £100 on top of that (I say as I cry inside)

What was the shipping estimate when you placed the order? Says 8-10 weeks at the moment. A mavic for £898.80 is tempting...

Yep already received it.

Ordered on 23rd Jan and arrived a week later on 30th Jan.

No issues at all with the Mavic after around 5/6 flights. Apart from when I flew 1.2 miles away it started to lose signal and the video playback to my phone kept cutting off so I turned it around and flew back.

Need to buy a tablet... using my iPhone 6 atm and the battery goes from 100% to 0% after just under 2 flights!

You must've been extremely lucky. Most people who ordered from Apple (like me, ordered 16 Jan in the Netherlands) still have nothing. At least not the people who ordered this year. For as far as I can see on the forums here, and from my own experience.

So my order from apple uk update.

Ordered with apple uk online with a delivery time of April-May. Order still pending and ordered on the 18th January.

You ordered 23rd and had your drone already. You are also uk.

So what I done this evening is ask my partner to order the whole lot again but on her apple account and also using her student discount. We ordered Mavic Drone and also an extra battery. Whole lot come to £975!! (Drone alone is £749).. but even more interesting the delivery is saying 4 April- 20 April!

If apple email us back we confirmation of the student car being excepted I'll cancel my order and hope to get it sooner, cheaper and with an extra battery. Oh also not forgetting the £99 cheaper from apple and not DJI and also the fantastic apple customer serivce you get with anything sold.

Apple all the way and not DJI

Still waiting for mine. Ordered on 29th Jan with the discount too. Hopefully I'll get a message soon!

Ordered mine on the 3rd February after having my 25th October order cancelled by Very.co.uk, 103 days of waiting now.

Have a delivery date of 3 Apr - 19 Apr.

Also just noticed that Apple are now listing as Sold Out for new orders.

God iv spoken to them nearly ever day the past week. No one will say anything about it. I really think no one knows when they are send them to apple.

I'm 29 and this order is the only thing that has turned me into a kit again lol. I'm fine to wait I guess as my holidays don't start until end of April. Also apple student discount is just awesome.

If it gets closer to my first trip then I'll just order from DJI and hopefully get it quicker.
