Thanks jasonstarbird!  I'm having fun creating missions to go and check out some of our local landscape and rivers...even only the winds would stop...

I hear ya! I'm in Kansas and we don't have a lot of great scenery to pick from! LOL
I wish I still lived up in Idaho...

My third of 4th video.  Only had the Phantom 3 standard a week or so.

Fly it a few times a day now so getting better at flying and filming.

Isn't Litchi just awesome? I really like it. Too bad DJI hasn't come up with something to compete with what you can do with Litchi.

I'm having fun with it.  I know that Dji did come up with GS Pro, but you need to run it on an Apple tablet...and it is not as easy to setup missions as Litchi is.  Also, I really like the fact you can go to the mission hub on the Litchi web site to create missions.

Another thing that you can do with Litchi is create a path in Google earth, set the height relative to the ground, export as a kml file, and import it into the mission hub. What it does is makes a mission that follows the contour of the land (watch out for trees!).  Here is a YouTube video that explains it:

I have done that many times and it is great! Like you said it allows you to maintain a certain distance above the actual ground surface. Really a useful tool for the right location. Another thing I like with Litchi is you can share your missions with friends. I have several missions that my friends have also used, maybe changed some altitudes or whatever, and run the same path. I don't know if with DJI you can share the paths you create.
