Is there a way to review and change my Mavic settings when not connected to the drone. I'd like be able to pre setup all the parameters before I am connected. As a DJI newbie, It takes me a while and the drone sits there and gets hot and the fans start running. I'm used to QgroundControl on my homebuilts and being able to connect via usb cable with the motor controllers off and still being able to access the settings pages.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to change the settings in the aircraft itself without it being on.

No don't think there is a capability like that. The only thing you can access 'offline' in the dji go 4 app is the mavic's flight records !!
