I hit one mile today without mods.  Latest firmware but used DJI Go 3.0.1.

You must have realized how stable and well behaved a trouble free Phantom can be.
I had that feeling too, and flew out to the maximum distance Beginner mode would allow several times.
I soon realized how restricting that mode felt, and turned it off, to my immediate happiness.

We are lucky that Beginner mode is there, particularly for new RC pilots, who may need that reassurance up front.

I must have accidently turned beginner mode off and went up about 300 feet on my second flight.  I didn't really see the need to turn it back on so just left it off.

Accidently? Or, You love to challenge yourself, don't you? Haha

Either way, what a feeling of freedom, once that mode has been disabled.

Not sure if the plus version uses regular Go App, for that matter, I am unfamiliar with the new version used with the P4P/P4P+. Perhaps someone else can help. I do not have access to my tablet right now. In the regular Go App I think it was on the same screen as the RTH settings. Just click around in the menus, you should find it.
