Is this the allmighty Jello effect everyone is aware of?


Already calibrated IMU, Compass and Gimbal. Filmed in 4k and 1080p.
tested other sd-cards like the bundled lexar and SanDisk Exteme.

Should I return it to DJI?

By the way. this was one of the first flights with the Mavic. Everything is new.

My new replacement Mavic suffers the same problem and I think it is because of the wobbly hind leg. The vibration from the motor seems to affect the gimbal much more when the leg is loose.
I try to prove my theory by putting a rubber peg in between the joints to stop the hind leg from moving / vibrating while flying, and lo and behold, the jelly / shaky effect is now gone.

But there are so many possible causes, such as gimbal obstructed by something or not fit properly etc..

so a RMA should be considered in your opponion?

After my 3rd flight I got the Jello. Didn't have it on first flights. Just reading up on it now seeing how to hopefully correct it. Never had it on my phantoms

What do you mean 4K and 1080p? I do not see any change in resolution. I believe 1080p should be avoided. What shutter-speed did you use?

The mentioned clip is DJI_0054.MOV. In addition, I attached some other clips which are affected by the error.

I've flown on different temperatures. The problem persists with 0°C and around 10°C

Could you open the filets?

I have the same problem sometimes worse sometimes hardly noticeable.  I was wondering if it was just "the way it is" and I was asking too much?  Anyway, I will be interested to see if there is a problem that DJI Mindy can resolve .

Having major "jello" issues with my new Phantom 4 PRO.  Only been used 6 times... have tried re-calibrating everything and a re-boot  :-(  
Any solutions?

I just tested another Shutter-Settings but this wont work. Additionally I got a sprinkle on my lense, which I actually discovered last week. Just return it to DJI.
