I like the way you think hallmark even though I don't make lists anymore. Probably why I'm all over the place! My checklist- put it in the bag and wait for tsa to stick the bomb cotton thingy in there, rub it on my shoes, and they always give me a hard time about my pants

Well each to there own, I think pre flight check particularly to new flyers would save a lot of crashes or accidents.

I wonder does it make sense for compass check:
- Calibrate (if required)
- doublecheck compass/horizon level readings (i.e. they shall looks adequate and shall not change significantly on static drone).

As per another thread when mavic could go away after take-off (presumably) because of compass issue.

You will get a message to calibrate or move to another location, also always good to make sure compass is pointing in the right direction.
