I've seen reports here of people using P4 battery 5350mAh in P4pro

What about the other way around, would it work and would it be sensible to use a P4pro 5870mAh battery in a P4?

I'm just wondering whether, if I buy another battery for my P4, whether to 'future-proof' for a possible future upgrade by getting the P4pro battery insteaad of the standard P4 battery..

Yes they are cross compatible

is just a battery of higher capacity to cover for extra sensors. however, ive read someone saying there may be battery firmware discrepancies, but fact is 10% extra battery adds to a P4  only 2 more minutes of fly time.

If you don't know, don't post to confuse others.
The reports you mention are of people swapping the same battery between P4 pro, P4 and back again.
And it's nothing of any consequecnce.

i thank you for clearing the air.
this is not about confusing anyone. i didn't know exactly, you knew better and that's that.

Make sure to keep an eye on the update when it pops and do the firmware update for the battery.
