I have problem with my P4P. On first long range test video transmission stopped after 800 meters.(Field 80 meter high). It was not an obstacle.
Antenna setup is same in manual.
Same day, same place Mavic do 3km-s.

Seems like this issue comes with all P4P's... so sad ..

Doeant come with all P4Ps. Ive not taken mine out on a long distance flight but have quite easily managed 1600 metres without any video loss or SIgnal strength lost.

Mine doesn't have a distance issue unless I am flying too low.

Note though, a lot of countries have to adhere to lower transmission outputs and they will have range issues.

Yep matters what country and restrictions there are. I have done over 40,000 (20,000 out 20,000 back in.) I just dont see how there is a problem the p4p is better then my p4 with dbs itelite mod! 5.8 ghz rocks on p4p also did my longest flight with that. If u guys want to see proof just look thru my post history.

I havent had a problem with range either on my P4P, even though I have the european version with less transmission power than the US version.

5km is a long way lol

Was a cold day and came back with 37% battery left. If you fly at a reasonable speed, if im filming I only travel at about 5.5 to 7 metres per second so the props dont show and the pan/ movement is smooth, and take your time gaining altitude, its ok, at 2.5 km distance from me I still had five bars video and RC. I suspect it could have done twice that distance before loosing enough signal to get a RTH signal.

lucky you, I never go further then 700m without loosing video signal in both mods 5.8 & 2.4 whatever the altitude and whatever the place open or not ...

Except the ones that are happily flying kilometres out, and there are plenty of them doing that.

I suspect its either interference from electro magnetic sources or line of sight obstacles. Are you in an urban location? do you have your antennas set up properly ?
