Now i am having a landing gear problem, too.
Lowering the gear was fine, but it will not go into travel mode.
Checked the srew, but it's not stuck...works very nice and easy with the screwdriver.
Any ideas ?

Try these..

1) Take out the battery and wait for 5 minutes reinsert and try T mode again.
2) when you press 5 times for T mode what colour is the status LED showing? Should be "solid blue"
3) reattach the camera check you have video. then remove the camera once you have powered down. then try T mode again.

If this fails reload the I2 firmware..

Tried that all, no succes, but the camera video was ok.
The solid blue is showing up very short, maybe half a second.
I will give it a try with the firmware reload now.

Have you tried to fly and raise the landing gear?

I found this on the Chinese BBS. Sorry if translation is a bit off

MAKE SURE THE AIRCRAFT IS OFF WHEN DOING THIS PROCEDURE

Find the hole directly below the worm drive in the I2 Once you have the slot exposed use a small 3 1/2  inch screwdriver with  a blade about 1/8 wide

To LOWER the gear TURN THE SCREW ( DRIVER ) CLOCKWISE   ( Landing Position )

To RAISE the gear TURN THE SCREW  ( DRIVER ) COUNTER CLOCKWISE   ( Flight Position )

Sometimes if the gear gets stuck , either up or down all it takes is a  couple of turns of the screwdriver and then it will work.

Make sure when placing the aircraft in Travel Mode that you have removed the camera and that you are on a hard level surface.  The VPS sensor needs that hard level surface to determine how high to raise the gear, when you don't have that solid surface the Landing  Gear travels beyond the level mode for travel and sometimes gets stuck when the worm gear travels beyond it limits and sometimes gets stuck .

Thanks!  As you may have noticed I picked up the same problem last week and after reading on different forums it seems to be a "general" issue...  My I2 is now "bricked" mechanically and will hopefully be swapped by the dealer....  If this is however a DJI flaw, the "new" one could soon do the same.  It will be interesting to hear the official feed back.

Additionally i tried everything agin in the air and also changed to atti and what ever possible. It will not move.

One last thing ... have you rebooted the R/C? I see some guys have had issues with them loosing control of certain features and restored after reboot.

With rebooting you mean switch off and on or something else ?
Until now i only tried it with on/off and also reconnect to the Inspire.

I confirmed it with our engineers, it needs to be sent in for further evaluation.
We'll take care of it once it arrives, please feel free to contact our tech support here to get a case number: http://www.dji.com/support/product
Then please provide me your case number, I'll follow up the case, thanks.

Press the C1 + C2 + Trigger (photo) buttons and keep them pressed and TURN OFF the controller.
By still keeping pressed the C1 + C2 + Trigger (photo) buttons TURN ON the controller.
You will need to reattach the R/C to your I2 you can find this in the manual

Hello DJI Natalia,

Could you please take a look in this thread and shed your light on this problem?

Thanks a lot

This seems not to work. I can switch off with this combination. And i also can switch on, but the app will not open and when i turn the controller off and on again i am still connected to the aircraft.

As a follow up:

My Inspire 2 was given back to the dealer two days ago to be sorted out or swapped.  A flurry of promises were not fulfilled! (Shame on you dealer!!  I expected so much more!).  Bottom line is that the dealer called me  this morning informing me that he himself spoke to DJI and they are totally UNAWARE of ANY issue with the landing gear.....   LOL!!

No matter what you now try, this is an issue that needs either fixed by DJI (if you are near enough and you will most likely not get you own Inspire back...) or your dealer must replace it!  When I now want to raise the I2 it starts up instead of raising and makes two strange "clap" noises inside the guts of the drone (like the gimbal does when at a point the lens touches it).  I guess something inside the mechanism broke.  Does yours also do that??

This is annoying and potentially costly or dangerous problem.  Wonder how long it will take for DJI to fix this matter?

I'm wanting to buy an I2, but the beta-issues are holding me off.  Especially "If they never heard of the problem before."  Maybe in 6-8 months they'll sort it out and the stock on the shelves will be fixed..maybe.
