My belief is that there are only two functions that trigger immediate land,     A)    by flying in a NO-FLY zone   and  B)  Dead battery  ,  if there are more i would be interested to hear also.

Where exactly were you flying, at what percentage was your battery, and what was your critically low battery threshold set to? As MikeQView said, the only two things I know of that trigger this are a critically low battery level and no-fly zones. I'm guessing that what you considered a "good" battery level was actually below your critically low battery threshold.
