I am researching Thermal Cameras and UAV to use for the Fire Department. Any information on what camera and UAV to use would be appreciated. I am putting together a proposal. I wwant to present 3 packages. Low Middle and High end $$$. Anyone using UAV now for Firefighting? if so any info on what you use it for would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I use a m600 with X5 and a German thermal camera because when Dji launched their camera it had no pixel thermal data and I needed to interrogate the temperatures live. I think Dji have updated now.
Downside to my camera is the fixed focus, that just means at closeup, i.e. less than 3m the image is not sharp as at 30m unless you set the focus manually.

The camera module is part of the complete solution. Currently the solution is optimzied for better portability to other systems and enhanced with some additonal features. Pricing will depend on features of the thermal camera (9 Hz / 25 Hz as well as range and tolerance of calibration for radiometric use). I expect a price point of about 8000 $ for the base version (384x288 px 9 Hz + HD video) including a gimbal.
