Anybody know what the additional .SRT files are that get saved on the SD cards? And are they important ?

When importing the card into Lightroom, it comes up with a message saying the .SRT files were not imported.

If you delete the SRT file, the video playback will not show the information, such as your home gps location, barometer, shutter speed, iso, exposure value, etc.  You turn off the information recording in the video section of the DJI go app and it will no longer record the SRT files.  I personally just keep the file, in case I want to know in the future, what time the video was recorded, the gps location, barometer (height, etc).

I see that it does not import into lightroom.

How can I enable SRT creation? I checked my video settings in GO4 ios app and didn't find anything related to that.

I think they are there by default, but I don't see them in the footage on a Mac but on a PC.
When you transfer the files from your SD card the should be part of that transfer.

I don't see any SRT files within the same folder I find mov files.

You have to enable SRT file writing by turning on Video Captions under your video settings.

If you are on a Mac, VLC will play back the video and overlay the SRT data.

SRT files are the data from your video.  Coordinates, elevation, etc.

Will the SRT data show when using iMovies (Mac software) ?
And a very stupid question, what is VLC and does it come with the Mac?

I don't know if iMovie supports SRT files.

Just managed to download VLC, thanks for the help. Love the SRT data that gets overlayed, would be nice if iMovies could display this info as well.

I have "Video Captions" ON, I have tried both MOV and MP4 video recording in both 4k and 1080P, the videos record fine, but I never get accompanying .SRT files. What am I missing?

If you enable Video Captions they'll be alongside your photos and videos on the Mavic's memory card.

Is there a way to edit all images (du .SRT lines) at once?

2. Can you add another folder to the computer and place all the SRT files in this folder AND will this stop linking the file or does it know to link the SRT and MP4 files automatically.

1. no, but you can choose SRT file from your video player
2. can, but still have problem when you play the video

i use potplayer and mp4 need put with SRT files.
