I bought a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced about a year ago that came with blades and a spare set. I recently bought a new set off of Dronepartspro and they were knockoffs. So I ordered a set from DJI instead, not wanting to use knockoff blades. (I am fine with the ones it came with) The old blades were the 9450 Part #9 blades, white with the grey and black tops. But the new blades, despite being 9450 Part #9 blades, seem to be a bit thinner plastic. The parts that crew on to the motors are also black and grey inserts on the new blades, whereas they were just white on the last ones. What is the difference between the two sets? Which are the newest version? Any advantages to either?

I noticed the same thing when I got my last set of DJI blades for the P3A. They seem thinner/more flexible for sure. I opted to switch all of the blades so I would have a matched set. Not sure if the change was for performance or cost, but they seem to work fine.

You might be better off posting in the Phantom part of the forum, I'm sure you'll get a greater response. We're not snobby or elitist over here, but this is the Mavic part. The guys in the Phantom bit are really great and you'll get great feedback.

Ha, didn't realize I did that. My bad I will switch to the phantom side. Thanks.
