Well, I made it 34 flights and 6hrs15min of flight time.   Completely my fault just wasn't paying enough attention.  Luckily only  cracked one prop, split the other in two, and chewed up the battery a little.  I was able to climb the tree and knock it loose.  My new favorite neighbor caught it before hitting the ground.

Dang, after watching this video I realize where I screwed up.  I had just went into cinematic mode for the first time.

Sorry to hear about your crash hopefully it's only the props that are damaged.

I had some problems yesterday with this mode also.

Yep, only the props this time.  The gimble did pop outside of the safety catch, but I was able to get it back set right.

Only the props?  You don't think that giant hole in your battery could be problematic?

That's what I was thinking too... Man you might wanna send that thing in to be checked out for safety purposes alone

lol good point, there is that hole too.  I think it's purely a cosmetic issue.  It still works fine and no errors reported in the app.  I will probably just patch it up to avoid any moisture getting in.

Exactly! Might get fancy with some JB Weld.  Open to suggestions though.

You could try some Sugru.
I have used it on the back cap on my paintball marker where it rubs against my mask. 3 Years, and still no signs of wear.

Glad your bird is mostly fine! You should really get rid of that battery, it´s not in its original condition anymore and you never know... it can become dangerous.

Nasty, lucky to get away with so little damage.

As mentioned above I think the battery should not be used.
