I mistakenly posted this on the Mavic forum and am reposting here...

I bought a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced about a year ago that came with blades and a spare set. I recently bought a new set off of Dronepartspro and they were knockoffs. So I ordered a set from DJI instead, not wanting to use knockoff blades. (I am fine with the ones it came with) The old blades were the 9450 Part #9 blades, white with the grey and black tops. But the new blades, despite being 9450 Part #9 blades, seem to be a bit thinner plastic. The parts that crew on to the motors are also black and grey inserts on the new blades, whereas they were just white on the last ones. What is the difference between the two sets? Which are the newest version? Any advantages to either?

Don't use the set with the grey inserts where they screw on. Newest should be all white even inside the screw.

The rely on the friction extra grab of the all plastic prop when the motors use active braking they slow down fast and you can run the risk of a prop unscrewing itself in flight!!

The grey inserts are aluminium.

Yes - the grey metal threads were for the P2V+ non-V3 and earlier.  They should not be used on a P3.
