I got my mavic yesterday. I'm using an iPhone 6+ in normal mode I keep on losing connection but if I put it into airplane mode it seems fine. I haven't even flown it yet I'm still trying to do all the updates. Is this normal

If video try connecting phone to the bottom USB port instead, it seems a lot more stable for with iPhone 7

Glad to hear it's working...

I also found that my Red arrow in the Radar works correctly whereas when I connect phone into the side micro USB the red arrow does not read true to actual Mavic direction.

I have a 7 Plus and have had no issues using the side or bottom USB port.
I know if using the side, you have to make sure the plug is firmly seated into your phone.
