How bright it is? DJI says, that no problem to see the picture at sunshine.
The display out in bright weather makes me a big problem. The original shield just complicates the situation as it interfere with fixation of the display and likely fall down together with the display of course.
The brighter display would be the best choice for me, but I like to know, is it worth buying it.  

Yes this is a big issue for me too - only effective solution is the rather cumbersome Hoodman hoods. The P4P+ display is 1000 nits (cd/m2) - twice as bright as most tablets/smartphones (e.g. iPad Mini 4 is 450 nits). Hard to get any other device as yet that would come close to that. Maybe when Samsung get a successor to the doomed Note 7 (1000 nits) - though S7 can do 850 I think. Should be bright enough for use even on sunny days.

Not much use if you can't see what you're doing...

It is really easy to make you own fold away screen shield.
Matt black card.  You can make it as large or as compact as you like.
I think it is the reflections rather than the brightness that cause me the most problems.

I have P4P+ and P4P.

I am annoyed with the sun reflection so when it is bright outside I'll always use P4P+. It is extremely bright.
and I don't mind the extra bucks

Around the afternoon or in cloudy days I use the P4P with MINI4 if I needed a bigger display but I ma pretty sure you will love the P4P+ BRIGHT display.
