Since I just got my Mavic on Weds, it's still the OEM Lexar 633x 16gb - seems to shudder somewhat on recorded video.

Recommendations on a much better 32 or 64 gb one?

Well, technically it shouldn't. Sandisk Extreme would do nicely, the latest of that card will do 60MB/s vs ~10MB/s for the Lexar. I am recording 4K@30fps with no issue.

Can you actually use all of the 128GB on the Mavic? Its spec sheet indicates a maximal capacity of 64GB.

Extreme PLUS or PRO seems like an overkill to me, at least for the Mavic as its maximal video bitrate is 60 Mbps which is 7.5 MB/s on write (plus some overhead).

So they will all handle video recording fine, the only difference to you will be transferring video to your computer. For 64GB of file, it will take ~11minutes for the Extreme and ~4 Minutes for the Extreme PRO. You will have to decide if the cost would justify the added benefit.

this is embarrassing, but how do i change the video resolution? yes i haven't read the manual i can't find the settings, some things don't seem logically placed.

yes all128gb (i think its like 119gb) is available for use. read / write is 95mb/90mb pretty fast card and reliable

here's how you change video resolution... i'm in photo mode but select video and the options will change accordingly

Ditto. I did get a sd card warning the first time putting it in, but a format made it go away.

A 64 GB Samsung EVO

How do you know that it shudders? Playing recorded video on my Mac Pro shows shudder but that is caused by computer not by recorded video. E.g., often using VLC instead of Quicktime player eliminates the shudder. Also when exporting/compressing to Youtube 4K that shudder (visible in Quicktime player) disappears.

Sandisk Extreme Plus 32g & 64g, and Extreme Pro 64g.  They work very well for now.  I'm still in pre edit mode, so stay tuned.
