New arrival to video making with a drone.  Using a Mavic I recorded a video then down loaded to a windows computer, attempted to open received a message windows media player can not play the file. Attempted in both mov and mp4.  Down loaded VLC and now able to watch.  I then attempted to open in windows movie maker, will not open.  

I would like to edit this video in window movie maker or find a program to edit and share.  

There is an advanced free video editor called Davinci Resolve that is very capable Although the learning curve is steep, if you have any experience using Premiere pro than it's a lot easier to find your way around the program.
