At the moment, we have no information as to whether or not it would be available for the I2. As you mentioned, it could very well be the case that there would be a firmware discrapancy that would allow that half of the mount to be used with the I2. DJI is moving towards having particular cameras that are to be used with specific product for realistic use. The Z30 is an industrial camera, it's not made for purpose of a cinema platform like the Inspire.
Hi Jamie,
Please continue to check on the gimbal adapter, and if it could be used on the Inspire 2.
I guess there are quite a few people like me, who invested heavily in the Inspire 1 with expensive cameras like the X5/X5R and XT. The heavy cost is nowadays the cameras, not the drones.
Personally I have all three of them. So it is a serious amount of money that you got from me. I can't upgrade to the Inspire 2 now, because no camera works there. So I'm kind of stuck with an Inspire 1 that will probably not get much more support with less software support and less available spare parts.
With a small and cheap product like a gimbal adapter, you could make customers happy by giving them some breathing room between the fast hardware releases, and an upgrade path.
I mean, look what amount of money you got from me, and what does it cost for DJI to make a small gimbal adapter that clearly works with the XT as it is announced to work on the M200, that then should also work in the Inspire 2?
And, how about making the XT work on the DJI Osmo? Just a firmware fix. Still not happened...
If DJI won't make firmwares or adapters that sees to compatibility, at least make an upgrade path for the hardware. So If we for instance have an Inspire 1 with X5R, we could get a discount if I send it in to DJI and upgrade to the Inspire 2. Just like as you go to your car dealer and trade in your care.
