Does the software "know" when you are ready to move off beginner mode and automatically disable it? Or is it something you need to do when you feel comfortable? I know there is the ability to disable it, just didn't know if the software was monitoring ability.

Nope, DJI Go app is not that smart. It's a self-learn process.
