When I fly I've noticed a red flashing dot just to the right of the small SD Card icon.

What does this indicate?

Haven't noticed that on mine so just guessing here, but is it only flashing while recording video or after taking a photo? If so, then it probably indicates writing data to the card. If it's constantly flashing whether recording or not, it may indicate a bad or incorrectly formatted/incompatible card.

Can you suggest how to be make a video of the screen?

I would think that the blinking dot is indicating that the memorycard is being written to.
