Flying my drone around over the water in front of this beautiful church.
A woman comes up behind me and says "Why are you doing that, the sound is unnatural."
I was a little dumbstruck and didn't know what to say at first.
It's my hobby and I'm trying to capture some pictures of the church.
Why are you doing that on sacred ground? Zoinks uh oh got a zealot on my hands
If she could have burned me with holy water she would have.
I was kind and decided to move on, no point in upsetting someone who isn't balanced.

Can you do a good facsimile of a head spin? That and a little pea soup upchuck would have solved you problem.
Interesting about the 'sacred ground' bit. It might be to her, but to everyone else, it is just a bit of ordinary dirt.

Should have just told her that you were trying to find Angels and they fly over sacred ground.

     Next time say that animals think the sound is that of a bee swarm.  It is very natural.  In fact, it is so natural there are unanticipated interactions with animals often because the sound is so natural.  The animals think it is natural!

That's why so many people don't like drones. It's the unnatural sound the drone makes that freak them out!!

You might want to show off your lovely pics and of video to them, so they can see your ultimate purpose.

Thanks I appreciate it Game over in here in Canada, they just brought down heavy rules on hobbyists.
$3000 fine for breaking the rules. Near buildings, peeps, animals etc.

Like I keep telling others, join an RC flying club.

Here in the capital city, we have www.ercha,ca, which is an awesome group of pilots.

I'm going to try to find a place today where I won't be breaking the rules and see how it goes, if things don't go well in the near future I will sell everything.
I usually shoot with the raw turned on. I'll check and then we can figure out how to get the original to you.

Yes I have it, if I put on dropbox is that good for you?

Can't y'all just get a commercial certificate?  It would be inconvenient, but then at least you wouldn't be vulnerable to the outrageous hobbyist drone laws of Canada.

I would love to get certified.
Transport Canada does not recognise any institutions.
They came down with a hammer.
We needed improved rules, but this went too far.
Don't know how they're going to actually police this.
Rules your name and phone number must be written on the drone, think I'll write my Bro in laws name on mine.

Have an isolated location that I'm going try out this afternoon, sunny and mild

Looks like canadian drone rules are taking the same route as american metal detector rules.

I guess in canada, the armflappers figure having a drone means you're trying to get nude pics of somebody's wife, while in the US, they figure having a metal detector means you'll be digging up parks  and lawns with shovels and backhoes.

Found a place where I can go at least temporarily.
When the weather gets nicer, there will be peeps launching their boats so I'll probably have to find another location.
Pretty funny, right now there are peeps hanging around smoking dope, so probably safe enough for me for the moment.

Should have told her the drone is closer to god.
