It automatically stops at the 30 min mark. In the real world you only get a 9min continuous clip in 4k and 14mins in 1080 before it "spans" and you loose a few seconds in the transition. It's the 4Gig files size limit bridging. Design flaw of the Osmo since day 1.
There was a discussion I read awhile ago that apparently mentioned that it was by design. They mentioned it was about how cameras were taxed. Any camera that was capable of recording over a 30 minute stretch was taxed differently than one that didn't. According to the post, DJI changed the firmware so it wouldn't. I don't know if this is true or not, just what I read.
