I just got back from flying my phantom 4 using just my I phone 6S. I took it to an altitude of 980 feet and a distance of 1300 feet, turned it hard and had it up to a speed of 48 miles an hour in sport mode, and the live feed was flawless. Not once in my flight did I experience any freezing, glitches, or a black & green screen. I'm wondering then when I use my iPad 2 linked to my iPhone 6s for data, is there a lag and my iPad 2 can't keep up? Which brings me back to my original question, are there any settings that I can tweak or turn on or off that will help my iPad run more efficient therefore reducing the lag?
For iOS devices in general, the minimum hardware requirement is an A7 processor in order to run efficiently, the iPad 2 is just an A5. Since the Go app has become very dependent on having as much processing power available during use, having anything else tied to the device besides the RC will definitely tax the device. If you want to keep trying to get the iPad 2 to work with it, then you can try toggling the hardware decoding option to see if there's any improvement. Otherwise, the iPhone 6S will be the best device you already have that will work. |
