Thinking of doing an RePL course.

Anyone else done a course?

It's not cheap but I hope that it may lead to some work in the future.

I could go the "cheap" route as I have a PPL but will do the whole course.

Is the ReOC hard to get once you have the RePL?

Is the insurance higher than general photography insurance? Who do you use?

insurance is around $3200 to $3500, the ReOC takes a long time CASA is swamped with applications, I would advise you to get in touch with TotalRPa the can walk you through it. I used regional insurance brokers but it may be cheaper cause I had to cover the DJI MG1 <25kgs

It does cost a lot... I've contacted the wickedcopters.com.au to find more about it and they seemed to have the best price around. They also told me that the CASA drone rules regarding licencing will change at the end of June and the prices will not be the same.
