Number of packs is not so important as battery weight, size and energy density.
You need to keep the total weight including batteries and copter with payload below the total recommended weight.
I would advise low C rate (10-15C) Batteries made for multicopters as these have a significantly higher energy density and allow for longer flight times for the same mAh as other batteries. For instance a 35C battery typically has a Watt Hour/Kilogram of about 123 while many of the multicopter specific batteries have a Wh/kg of about 180 to 190kg. This translates into more time of flight.
Placement is important to keep the Center of Gravity of the copter correct. |
