Hey guys,

Was wondering how you take your 360 photo's. With DJI GO 4 or an other app? I want to keep using DJI GO 4, so maybe you guys have tips. Can't find really specific video's for it, I'm using P4P.

Best answer I got on a similar question was to use Litchi, but like you I ant to stick with DJI Go, or GS Pro fwiw. So let's hope DJI brings new functionality soon.

You can do it well with litchi, you will need software to stich Autopano works very well.

Thanks for the tips, was kinda looking for free software but I think that'll be a hard one.

I think the OP meant a free app to control the Phantom, like DJI Go or GS Pro.
Keeping fingers crossed that DJI will add "panorama" to its apps.

For Autopano Giga and Litchi, yes. AG I have and it's very good, about Litchi I've read not-so-good reviews and I didn't want to try and error it with my P4P. Imagine it goes wrong and DJI tells me my Care Refresh is void due to usage of 3rd party software. The horror...

Do you know of any alternatives to Litchi?
Preferably free or cheap, but if one app really stands out and does the job as best as can be, it's worth money for sure. As longs as it's safe.

Dronepan is also good, they are two young guys very progressive, they have a great forum over on Facebook they are extremely good and helpful, there app is not as extensive as litchi but it's free and works fine with P4 p.

You should join them on Facebook you will get plenty of help and support, you can also show your 360's on there forum.

Litchi is fine.
There are always negative reviews for apps because there are users that can't read manuals.

But you don't need an app to take panoramas.
It's faster and simpler to do it manually - click, rotate, click, rotate etc.

I agree with you L, right up to the last line. There is nothing faster and simpler than pre-setting your panorama setting in Litchi to whatever number of photos and approach (rows vs columns, angles etc), then initiating a panorama photo while the craft is in the air. Then sit back and wait for it to perfectly do it's thing... Love that app! :-)

I shoot a lot of big panoramas and tried Litchi and other ways to automate the process.
I got tired of the waiting because it's much faster manually and you can shoot more panos per battery if you do it yourself.

I do lots of aerial 360s and manually shoot the panorama. It gives greater flexibility for framing images to move/minimise/avoid lens flare and adjust exposure where necessary.  I tend to shoot in vertical columns - it's easier to remember the overlapping areas
