Just received my Mavic Pro after waiting since introduction. I cancelled my order from October 1 with DJI in November after waiting almost two months, re-ordered with a DJI Authorized Dealer, waited 4 months until cancelling it this week. I then ordered from Amazon and received my Fly More combo today. I wasn't in any hurry after going through the growing pains of a Vision+ firmware fiasco and three different Phantom 4's on introduction until I received one that didn't have the tilted horizon issue. After monitoring the issues of the Mavic and apparent hardware defects related to cameras, firmware boards, and GPS radios, I wasn't really upset anymore that I didn't get one of the initial units at introduction. Now, I'm wondering when my new Mavic Pro was made so I can compare its performance and hardware with others on this board should it have a problem? (I haven't activated it yet) I think it would be a good thing to know about as DJI is always improving the hardware and software as the drone's develope. So, is there anyway I can get an idea based upon my serial number of the date it left the DJI factory?
Ordered on 24th of March. Received on March 28th. Made on Thursday March 2, 2017. Shipped out of Austell, Georgia. It was a Fly More Combo purchased from DJi through Amazon. Saved sales tax vs. buying straight from Amazon.
