This was fun, mine was made on Christmas Eve, and when it arrived in late January it absolutely felt like that.

Made November 21st, 2016 here- got it on December 20 as a replacement for the Mavic I sent in for repair due to a defective gimbal.
This one gives me compass errors sometimes when flying full-out in Sport mode, and I'm told that Mavics produced in December or later don't tend to have this problem... the theory on another site I use is that it's to do with the later Mavics having twisted cables from their FCs to the back motors to dampen the effect of large amounts of current through the wires on the nearby compass/GPS module in back.

I wish that could be fixed, but it's not a big enough bother to risk sending it in and possibly getting another unit with a different, possibly more severe, defect. I'll deal with this whiny compass even if it puts me in ATTI every so often with great GPS reception- it's always found GPS again in a few seconds. And the crack up front on the Mavic's body isn't very big... wow, that's not something you want to be reassuring yourself about a $1000 product that you never crashed or even handled roughly, and calibrated to obsessive exactness in an impractically-perfect setting the last time calibration was called for.

I love my Mavic anyway, and if it lasts long enough for the warranty to run out, I'll fix these problems myself. (Until then, no touching it in that way for me.)

So I take it you know how many mavics are produced? I love that.

Ken said more than tens of thousands. And if they're producing over 1500 a day since launch. I would say ~400,000.

More like 4 or 5,000 a day from what I can see.
