New iPad was released today but i didnt see any thing about an iPad Mini...

A new faster mini would be really nice for the Mavic! Might be more to come, the mavic should have boosted the ipad mini sales numbers a litte I guess. I suppose apple don't relese statistics for how many of each product is sold.

Yes I was hoping for the same, It is nice tho for the phantom and inspire flyers as the new iPad only starts at $329 which is $70 cheaper than the iPad mini 4.

From what I read it's a stripped  down version of the 9.7 pro, older chip, no finger print coating and no anti-glare coating. Great if your on a budget but in now way an upgrade.

For me, the fact that they've cut corners on the display drops it off the consideration list.  Seems if you're using it for flying display is pretty critical. I'm trying to find a screen that's much brighter than my iPad mini and with anti-glare. The new iPad isn't it.

Interestingly, apparently Apple has made claims that the screen is brighter, however there's some disagreement...

That cannot for the mavic because of the Ipad's size, wont fit the controller.

AX10 Fusion an older chip than the A8 in the Mini 4 ?? AX10 is twice as fast as the A8 - Go figure......?? Can't see Apple putting an older chip into a new iPad pro version, and they haven't as it stands.
