Yep yep, already found the 1st bug just by downloading it.

I download the zip onto my desktop.
When you open the folder, another folder is there containing the firmware.
The name of that folder is  " Inspire_1_Firmwarev1.2.0.016_en " containing the  "WM610_FW_V01.02.00.17" binfile.
So thats the same foldername as the previous version.

Looks like installing new firmware is for the brave.

Downloaded the Fireware Zip file to the pc. Unzipped it and copied to the empty SD card.
Started the Inspire and updating now....... listening to the little beep pips now.

....... after a while listening the remote starts to talk to the inspire with some i dare to say
quiet monoton and boring melody.


...will update you with my results when done.

After around Minute 10, the updater window with the progress bar disappeared (was still at 0%)AND the Remote stopped playing beebs

MIne rc does not want to beep anymore... seems its bricked all I am getting is white lights no colours, is there a way to hard reset it?

Ok, preliminary results:

If you have the remote on and the app connected before you start the update of the inspire you get an
update window with progress bar.

10 minutes into the update of the inspire the remote will shut down. (I guess because no signal from inspire)

15 min: The inspire still is doing its partiture of beeps.
20 min: Remote started to beep again, moving the sticks around a bit stopped the beep. (Guessing after some time without input the remote shuts down)

Mine...The remote's beeping away like something from the hospital...(Just turned off) Good old Blinky is still buzzing and chirping crazily...
I think all will be fine

Mine has updated without any problems. When the first update came out I was told by dji tech to update without using the app. Thats how I did it this time and it worked without any problems.

And the second Tx if you have one.

Minute 35 and the Inspire still beeeb bip bip. Hm what to do?

It is almost 2 hours that i am trying to update mine! It hasnt completed since i started updating. I think i will do this: Turn off the inspire. Format SD card. Re-donwload and extract the firmware and then try again.. Any suggestions?

Edit: Before i format the SD card i found a new file created with the name WM610_FW_RESULT_AB.txt and the content in it says: result: success

Ok; shut the Inspire down after 45 Min. Pulled the sd card and checked it with the pc.
WM610_FW_RESULT_AB.txt    ->  success.

Ok; now to the remote.

Dropped fireware onto a flash stick, in the usb port and start the remote.
After ca 20 sek. the remote starts do annoy with "monoton melody" aka pip pip
and the color led goes blue = update in progress

I have to say the remote beeps are mean to the ears.
Luckily its a remote and can be left somewhere else like in........ in the basement

Was your camera just sounding like an old dot matrix printer? and did you receive a "Finished" beeping? D-DD type of thing...

yes, the BEEEEEEEEEP, Beep Beep...is the signal the update is complete, the remote will not link to aircraft until after you update the remote, or at least mine would not.   The remote will make the same BEEEEEEEEEP, Beep Beep as the aircraft when it is done and the led will illuminate solid green.  As above...don't forget update second remote if you have one...but ensure first you delete the txt file that reports success from the first controller.

I have not had a chance to fly it yet as I did this just before going to work...but as soon as I get a chance I will put it in the air....

Ah, well well. Remote stopped to annoy and went green =  success

Overall Status: Normal (latest firmware)

So i guess the shutdown of the remote and app was no problem.
I must have missed the update finish sounds from the inspire and waited
"too" long.

All looks fine. Will go and testfly  later today.

Tap the Top middle BAR with the "Safe to fly (GPS or non) Text.
Its your Status monitor with important infos.
Ahh your screenshot is from the 2nd page. Go back to the
main page, the info  about latest firmware is on the top

Looking the same as yours...Even after having too manualy shut down the Inspire...
The remote lost signal during update is prob the reason for no Beeping indication for me
but it appears too respond and link up just fine aswell

I have all the same versions as your screen shot .. am I now ready to do .. seems like i did the RC blue to green ok .. but i saw nothing happening on the bird.. checked the card and it says "update cancel".. i hope you guys know that hundreds of birds are watching your every word here this morning .. thank you so much

ahhhhh i found the text for update success on the usb card in the controller .. only cancelled text on the SD card.. hell guess ill only find out if i did this correctly when in the "air" (smile) thanks again guys ..

IIRC the "cancel" msg is because the Inspire tried a 2nd update and stopped it because
the update was successful before.

3 loaded lipos rdy to fly.

I just updated mine, but after 1,5 hours of waiting and listening to the crazy matrix printer sound... I've power down the inspire. Put it back on and the light starts blinking fast yellow after startup and I have no connection whit the remote . I checked the txt file but is says successful... Tried the controller reset button on the drone self but nothing happens!!

So I have no connection at all!! It's a dead drone right now!

Anyone experiencing the same problems or is there a solution for this problem?

@Zjaz: Update the remote also

Btw.. I updated everything succesfully and the bird seems to be healthy

Also did some tests to see if it responds ok. (i took off without props - just listening to the motors movement every time I pull the sticks. I recommend doing that every time you are not sure if everything is ok)

So i am waiting until tomorrow since it is rainy here right now and i hope everything is ok!
