Some tips
** the card has to be high speed preferably 16 gb that came with bird
** card has to be formatted fat
**you do not need to monitor update on the remote and the app
*** update bird and remote separately in any order
*** after EACH update delete or remove the file that says success or fail
*** the remote can be left OFF while the bird is updating and vice versa
*** put card with new firmware in the card slot on camera and nothing else
*** turn on the bird and WAIT make sure remote is NOT on
*** DD DD means it is updating wait about 10 min
*** the sound will change to D....DD...means done reboot bird
*** turn bird off and put it away
*** delete after checking success the small file
*** put the card with firmware file ONLY  in a usb 2 ( 3is ok too ?) holder
*** turn remote off
*** put the card and usb 2 holder into the usb slot on remote with full battery
*** turn on the remote
*** Red will become blue and the beeping will be DDDD wait for 10 min [very loud and annoying leave the room and get a coffee/beer)
*** Blue light will turn to green
***Turn the remote off

Turn both remote app... remote and bird and relink if need be with red button on bird

you are updated FLY :-)

In its the result reads "Cancel"

However my screen looks like yours.  What is this file?  there is also a GS file

Tried it your way but for me the bird was a no go. Does not want to update.

i guess you are already updated the file saying you cannot update twice

if you can somehow disconnect your battery in the remote or let it run low to zero .....leave it on overnite..

then charge full tomorrow and retry it should work as long as the usb holder for the sd card is usb 2 not 3 and card is formatted fat .. and no remaining txt files are in the root file from previous tries of updates ...it should work :-)
just realized you are trying the bird not the remote...those instructions are for remote

Why??? I want my # firmware of gimbal = 1.13 not 1.05

Got mine to upgrade today. Took a little time playing around with it and switched out two different SD cards but all is well. Flew it outside with no issues. Took it inside (6000 sqft. empty warehouse) and flew it for a few minutes. Did fine for about 3 minutes then all of sudden it lunged forward quickly on its own. I quickly pulled it back and landed it before a crash could happen. Only thing I did not do was run an IMU check before flight. I will do this tomorrow and see if this helps. Other than that one mishap it flew perfectly.

I am talking with DJI support...he recommend re-flash the firmware...the correct need to be 1.13.
after several attemps the same DJI representative say,,,its normal if the app say firmare is the latest,,,don't worry.

I don't belive...sorry DJI

I just did the update and everything still works, only the "gimbal" and "camera" is out of date. See image attached.
Another thing I still have the remote batery matèriel error !!!

Thank's mine look like that, had my Inspire just 1 week first flight today in the back graded only 5 ins started to rain and blowing 10 knots.

Updated firmware yesterday

hey guys,

just tried to update the firmware of the inspire.  The inspire wasnt asking for an update but I tried it anyway.  But...  it didn't do anything so i cancelled the procedure.  From that  moment on it was impossible to connect RC to the bird... tried it several times but the RC just couldn't find the bird... So i tried to update the RC with the same (latest) firmware as i tried on the copter and succeded.  From now on i could connect the RC to the bird again! jippiieee

Does anybody think it will be unsafe to fly tomorrow since the bird didn't do the upgrade and the RC did?  Dji pilot says averything is ok to fly but i just want to be shure about this before i go airborne...

Endless hours and many attempts the same result. No connection between RC and bird.

Someone tried to repeat the update on the TX and then suddenly it was binded to the Inspire.  I got this message on my stick having tried this:

Result: Abort
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the remote controller.

Panox looks like you ARE updated...you can bind the two by following procedure in the manual and pressing the hidden red button on the bird ...
